Interdisciplinary approach to the study of giftedness

Introduction. The transition of knowledge about giftedness to a new level that secures its functioning as developmental diagnostics tool in the triad “gift – ability talent” is realised through integration humanitarian and natural-science concepts. However, no special research has been undertaken sphere interdisciplinary approach respect studying phenomenon “giftedness” which would allow scholar highlight characteristics multilevel plastic under pedagogical influence. aim research, within framework present article, systematise scientific ideas outline modern concept terms approach, variability contrasts. Methodology methods. included selection systematisation, based on particular indicators, units giftedness, i.e.: (1) structure, (2) plasticity, (3) conditions transformation natural gift into socially valuable talent. involved analysis concepts proposed by philosophy (dialectical approach), neurophysiology (comparative psychology (activity-based, biological approaches), pedagogy (psycho-pedagogical, personalitybased sociology (socio-psychological, sociological approaches). Results. showed was integrated whole, through: building associative links forming common thesaurus sciences exploring giftedness; creating model “gifted behaviour” educatory process, highlighting grounds aspect directly observable; due reflect integrity components (e.g. “gifted-nome”, “giftedness age”, “talent age”). Giftedness multifaceted phenomenon, with such stages gift, abilities, Scientific novelty. obtained results made it possible consider light energy accumulated “gifted” brain transformed from potential state (gift) kinetic (talent) stage rotation abilities absorbing resources environment developing subsequently enhancing person’s neurophysiological mental at development.
